He was born in 1947, in izmir. He completed his primary and secondary education in İstanbul. He entered İstanbul University Medical Faculty in 1966-1967 and graduated in 1973. Started his specialty in 1974 at Radiology Clinic of Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. He completed his specialty in 1978 and worked as chief assistant in the same clinic until 1980. Completed his military duty as short-term n 1976. He worked as a radiologist in Private Hayat Hospital from 1980 to 1991. He is married and has 2 children.
